The approach from the trailhead goes through the forest and connects to a creek.  Follow the creek and then you go up!  This peak before us was daunting.  We were thinking that this can't be it and the peak is probably beyond it.  It looked too difficult to be the climb ahead.
We gained elevation quickly and looked back at The Wedge Pond and Mount Kidd in the background.
At this point, it was falling on us that the peak ahead is part of the hike.  Jill and Shauntae led the way up the ridge.
Killer marmot ahead!  We were coming up and this Marmot wanted to come down.  There was a little panic in some people in the group as the marmot ran down!  Of course it took the time to pose pretty for a photo.
Beyond the marmot was a right turn and the scramble began.  Some loose rock to be weary of.  Make sure everyone is aware of the risk.  Helmets are not a terrible idea.  The two gents ahead of us were smarter than us in this regard.
Shauntae looking majestic AF.  One thing I love about hiking with her is that she is never shy to stand in a place after I say "hey, go stand over there and check that out".  Usually because it'll make for a great photo op.
As we are climbing to the false summit, the two hikers ahead are making their way across the ridge.  We get up there and excited at the narrow ridge!
The Ladies lead the way.
As Keith and I bring up the rear.  Posing for the gram of course.
This quick drop was especially challenging.  Basically, you slip and fall, you die.  Probably.
Views from the summit.
We hung out at the summit.  We shared laughs, drank our beers.  All good things must come to an end.
As we make our way, I turn to see Shauntae taking her time at the summit.  I'm going to miss seeing her at the top of a mountain with my own eyes.
The return trip on the ridge was just as exciting as the ascent.  Narrow ridges build character.
One last look at the summit before we make our scramble down.
This hike was a beauty.  The ridge was the highlight.  Get up to this mountain and get it done.
