The trail head is just before the Jasper Park boundary. You turn into what looks like a campground. There is this amazing looking cliff face. You walk around to the right of it and the summit is in your sights from the very beginning of the hike.

The summit towers over you. Make sure you keep your eyes to ground so you don't miss out on the flowers.

There are a couple of minor waterfalls. Good sign of summer on the way!

It got steep! Shauntae and I were slogging our way up. Wondering what angle we were standing on, she pulls her phone and apparently this is what a 90 degree slope looks like.

Hi neighbour! Across the way is FOLDING MOUNTAIN! It was great to see it from this angle. It looks majestic piercing up through the trees. We were also able to see the famous brewery at its feet.

After the near vertical climb, we find snow in the trees. It was deep... not the safest. We made our way cautiously. It was about 400m of snow and the rocky slope was not far. We break through and are greeted with a short rocky climb to the summit!

We took our time at the top and took in the views. Fiddle Peak Ridge is here and would be a challenging climb. Shauntae stands majestically with her beer in hand!

Obligatory summit beer photos and taking in the views.

What a rockstar!

We were captivated with Fiddle Ridge to the south that we failed to even look to the North. The highway was below along with an impressive rock wall. Would not recommend going down this way.

We relaxed at the top a little while longer. This hike was beautiful. It was also a challenge.

Time to go. We packed up our gear and headed back down the mountain. It was a quick descent. I would love to return to this mountain.
